The Neuenhaus joint municipality has announced that the next general election on 23 February 2025 will see the first redistricting of electoral districts in the Neuenhaus area, particularly in the Grasdorf district. A significant increase in the number of eligible voters in recent years has led to this.
In future, Grasdorf will be divided into three electoral districts (previously two). The streets north of Nordhorner Straße in the former electoral district 4 "Grasdorf links der Vechte" will be assigned to the new electoral district "Grasdorf Nord". The same applies to the following streets of the current constituency 5 "Grasdorf rechts der Vechte": Binnenborger Straße, Blaubeerweg, Elchstraße, Escher Straße, Fohlenstraße, Hedwigstraße, Im Holt, Laardiek, Marderweg, Monikastraße, Poolstraße, Rasenweg, Rehweg, Schimmelweg, Veldgaarstraße, Veldhausener Straße.
The premises of the Neuenhaus e.V. fishing club at Vechteufer 18 will be used as the polling station for the Grasdorf NORD constituency.
The remaining streets of constituency 4 will in future form the "Grasdorf Süd" constituency, the associated polling station is located in the "Bullerbü" day-care centre, Katharina-Heinroth-Straße 1.
The remaining streets of the current constituency 5 will then form the "Grasdorf Ost" constituency. As before, the voters belonging to this area can vote at the Carl-van-der-Linde-Schule, Pestalozzistraße 12.
There are also a few changes in the district of Veldhausen: the streets Hachtdiek, Im Mühlenpark, Karl-Naber-Straße, Mühlenstraße, Schubertstraße and Wagnerstraße will be removed from the "Veldhausen Süd" constituency and assigned to the "Veldhausen Nord" constituency.
The relevant polling stations can of course also be found in the election notifications in due course.
There will be no changes in the municipalities of Esche, Georgsdorf, Lage and Osterwald. These will each form one constituency.
