The Neuenhaus ska socio-cultural centre at Prinzenstraße 12 is a youth and socio-cultural institution that has been in existence since 1982, but was relaunched in 2021 in terms of space and concept.

The centre is run by the town of Neuenhaus and the association "Unabhängiger Jugendtreff Neuenhaus e.V." (member of Paritätischer Niedersachsen). The ska is a member of the Lower Saxony Socio-Cultural Association.

The new socio-cultural centre built in 2021 on Prinzenstraße in Neuenhaus offers excellent conditions for a wide range of activities with a total of approx. 500 m² of usable space. The costs for the maintenance of the building and for the full-time staff are covered directly by the town of Neuenhaus.

The centre is open to all children, teenagers and young adults up to the age of 27 in the area of youth work and to all interested parties in the area of socio-culture. It offers a wide range of services in the areas of open leisure activities, youth and social culture, counselling, co-determination and volunteering, integration, youth education and youth social work.

Use of the socio-cultural centre is not tied to membership of the sponsoring association, but is open to everyone.

The centre is networked locally with many other associations and stakeholders and is active in many committees and collaborations. Examples include joint activities with the Neuenhaus Joint Municipal Youth Association and projects in collaboration with the Niedergrafschaft Music School, the Joint Municipal Library and local schools.

In the area of youth care, the ska organises the holiday pass for the Neuenhaus joint municipality. Together with the family service office and the administration, the annual summer holiday care for children of primary school age is also organised.
