Seniors' Advisory Council

The Seniors' Advisory Council represents the interests of older people living in the Neuenhaus joint municipality. It works independently, is non-denominational and politically neutral.

Tasks of the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council:

The purpose of the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council is to draw the attention of the council, administration and the public to the interests and concerns of older people and to work towards their consideration. The Senior Citizens' Advisory Council forms opinions and exchanges experiences in all matters affecting senior citizens. As part of its public relations work, the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council informs older people about important issues affecting them. It is involved in the planning and implementation of measures and programmes for older people in the Neuenhaus joint municipality and supports older people in their concerns. The Seniors' Advisory Council reports annually on its work to the Social, Seniors' and Youth Committee of the Neuenhaus joint municipality and the council of the Neuenhaus joint municipality.

  • SOS folder - your help in an emergency

    We want you to be prepared for an emergency. The SOS folder contains important addresses and telephone numbers. The folder also contains forms on which you can enter important personal and medical information yourself.

    Please also use the emergency passport at the back of the brochure. You can fill this out and keep it in your wallet. The contents of the SOS folder have been compiled by the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council of the Neuenhaus joint municipality.

    The SOS emergency folder is available free of charge from the citizens' office of the joint municipality, Veldhausener Straße 26, as well as from the respective municipal offices. The folder can be downloaded here. Please update the entries regularly and keep the folder clearly visible and easily accessible.

    The Adult Education Centre Grafschaft Bentheim, in cooperation with the Engagement Promotion, the SoVD, the Protestant parish and the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council of the Neuenhaus joint municipality, is organising a media café for senior citizens in Grafschaft Bentheim.
